Naming anything after someone does not equal ownership. The name can always be changed, if need be.
I would definitely name a business after my mother in law. There's some people who gives more to you than your biological mother or father. It's called honoring someone. I would not think that naming anything after my husbands mother would mean it's his business and I know he would not try to take ownership of it or lay claim to what I built because it's his mother's name. I guess that's what makes people different. I wouldn't try to hurt him in a divorce and vice versa. We would always think about the benefit of the kids and how our actions touches them.

Patricia Bailey this has happened to plenty of men and that's why some divorced get drug out for years.
