I say 25. But. The reality is they US is the only place that truly put an age on when a child should leave home to become independent. I feel once a child gets married or find full stability to sustain self should be when they leave home. But in the process they should assist with their living expenses. Small portion of rent, utilities, phone bill, clothing, personal use items (pads, hair done, nails, hair cuts, etc), car note, insurance, and things of that nature to help them prepare to be on their own.

But those entitled, ungrateful, smart mouth, disrespectful ones... they gotta go! You have until 19 maybe 20 to get it together. When our older kids moved out (23, 21, and 19 now.. but they all left at 18) we didn't pay for anything after they were gone. Two came back and one stayed out the house. All of them have jobs but they did realize how real it was until they were on they're own and they came back more grateful..
The other one is stubborn and will work ten jobs before she admit we were right 😆
