So, he knew what he was doing by putting them in a house together. The same way that sometimes when employers want to get rid of two people... They schedule them to work together. In hopes that one of them will voluntarily quit. Or it'll get to a point where nobody wants to work with a certain person. So the boss will just reduce their hours.
