Good interview… and I love Tasha down, but I have to disagree with all Black people tracing their lineage to slavery. I’m 42 and I went back a few generations on both my father and mother side. I couldn’t find ANY slaves in my background, so I understand why the name of ADOS needed to change to FBA for reparation purposes. Some of us were freed man. My great grandmother’s mother (Grandma Nan) was born on a Indian reservation. When you look at the census (I have copies of it) they were labeled as mulatto one year and colored then next. My grandfather who would of been 92 grandfather had land they he left his children. We still own this land to this day. Technically, he should’ve been a slave. He wasn’t!!! He was a freed man. I just want us to do research before speaking on these topics. Some of us were already here before the Atlantic Slave Trade.
