If from Cali. South Central Los Angeles to be exact. I was 24 years old when I gave birth to my son. I have been a single mother ALL of my son’s life. My son’s father was arrested when my son was 2 years old and was just released almost a year ago after serving 18 years in a California high maximum security federal prison. My son has neva cursed me out, put his hands on me or has allowed anyone he knows to put his hands on me. My son is not a gang member and he works a full time job. My son is 21 years old. I say all this to say that if you provide structure and discipline for your children they will grow up to at least respect you! My son is not a saint and I have made many mistakes in being a young single mother but I love/loved my son and when I saw him trying to go down the wrong path, I was on his butt!! If I had to sit in the classroom I did! If I needed to take phones, video games etc I did! If I needed to go upside his head I did that too!!! I did all this so that I would not end up with a Blue Face of my own on my hands.🙏🏾
