Candace was very against BLM and trashed George Floyd. Amanda seales was a huge supporter of Floyd and BlM and anti police brutality. I can see why she refused to acknowledge Candace. Candace is not pro black or a leftist. She’s a right wing republican who believes in many anti black steroetypes
I have a feeling Desiree thinks her daughter is pretty and smart and could marry much richer and this is the source of the problem. Not that he’s black but that he’s poor. Desiree worked in the drug game which means she values money and flashy things. She can’t understand why her daughter isn’t like her when they look just alike. She doesn’t realize the grandfather and his independence was a huge influence on the daughter and she needs to leave the daughter alone because she wants to do her own thing.
I also wish Tasha asked how did Desiree go to law school when she had a kid at 16
