I need to stop watching documentaries and reading about science because, WTF?! You have to start reading the ingredients in toothpaste now? Listen, wasn't adding fluoride to everything bad enough, but now we're adding biological waste to the mix?! Don't get me to lying and saying it ISN'T a scientific breakthrough, I just know I'm sticking to all natural products... But, in a way, I guess this WOULD be considered natural.🤔 They need to start adding a disclaimer when they list 'natural ingredients' in products going forward. I just know I don't want to break out into an elongated BAAA, or start coughing up hairballs like a cat in the near future! Don't 👀 me because I know I'm not the only one that accidentally swallows just a little, especially when you brush your tongue. And just to think, I was about to donate at least 2 ft of my locs to charity (they're 5'9 long at the moment) to help make wigs for cancer patients, but how do you really know that's actually where it will ultimately end up??

I’m not able to sleep and I really, really want to. So, I’m scrolling while watching my documentaries and came across this. How much you want to bet that this video of Cardi is going to be Exhibit #5,043-B in her next court case? I understand that people will try you because they can, but when will she listen to Alicia Key’s “Lesson Learned” and take it to heart? She can’t even claim hormonal overload because she has BEEN doing this. No shade, but she might as well open an account and label it ‘I Can’t Control My Anger Fund’ as she watches her money dwindle. We can’t make social media our diary and then not expect random people NOT to ask you out-of-pocket questions. She needs a better PR team to coach her to be unbothered…even when she feels people are being disrespectful.

I attended my 1st zoom meeting tonight on the topics of marriage and relationships, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was amazing to hear different perspectives on the pros and cons and how everyone views the roles that both men and women play. It was insightful, thought-provoking, and at times, sad to hear the trials and tribulations that many of us are going through. I enjoyed the different experiences and the way some have drawn their lines in the sand and know exactly what they want and won’t tolerate anything less. There was a lesson and knowledge for everyone at every stage of our lives. We were honest, and that was the beauty of it all. I won’t lie and say it’s not past my self-imposed bedtime, but it was worth attending it, and I look forward to more in the future. I know that we come for the gossip, but this was truly about building community and learning each other as winos. My greatest takeaway was to be thankful and grateful for my marriage. It was humbling and gave me appreciation for all that I have. This zoom taught me to not take for granted what my husband and I have worked hard to achieve. I don’t think that I would survive this new age of dating, so I’m thankful for all of you that participated tonight. Thanks again Okiemute Esiekpe for ensuring that my behind attended, and thank you beautiful Winos for your vulnerability and honesty. My continued hope is that EVERYONE finds the companion of their heart’s dreams in whatever form that may take. Stay encouraged and know that you ARE the blessing!!

Hey lovely Wino Family. This came across my desk in Pollyanna World 🌎, and I want your honest thoughts/reactions. This maybe old news to you, but it's new to me. Unsolicited Uber advice, ugh. I wish my husband would say something like this to ANY woman. I won't divorce him (30 yrs in, I wish I would) but that conversation would be EPIC! Yes, some women are wil'ing out while outside, but should a man you don't know, who doesn't know anything about you, have this much freedom to speak like this? What do you think? I almost want to click the poll tab for this one.

***For JazzyFaye, Mods, & the Winos***

This poem is from my poetry book that I've put together for my family and friends for the winter holidays (Don't worry it's copyrighted 😆). Peaches Royale MsBlue or any of the wonderful Winos, can you please tag Jasmine so that she can see I kept my promise? There's a million Jasmines on here and I don't want to mix them up.

'Remember When'

By Born2Speak

Remember back in the day

When Crooklyn could've described the Bronx

And Brooklyn was the spot

Back when Atlanta streets

Were the place to be and be seen

Back when the internet was an invention

For Star Trek conventions

When Hip Hop was still a lady

RnB made babies without vulgarity

And in "Between The Sheets"

We still had "Quiet Storms"?

Monday thru Friday was for working

Before there was twerking

Doing "Da Butt" was the craze

Because of "School Daze"

We drank Alizé during commercials about Michelob

But up and down the block

You heard, "Domino!"

From open windows

I remember block parties

And a game of spades got everything started

Jade sang, "Don't Walk Away Boy"

And children toys

Got them to play in fresh air outside

Back when we would slip and slide

On couches covered in clear plastic

When we walked across shag carpets

And built up static because we were so "Electric"

"Lawd A'Mercy" I remember back then

Back when

M'tume's "Juicy Fruit" blasted from car stereos

And everywhere you'd go

The best jams were on repeat

Remember when a personal mixed tape

Was a special gift you gave

"Play another slow jam, this time make it sweet,"

Brought everyone to the dance floor

"Fire and Desire" brought the heat

And New Edition

Were still children with ambition

On their way to being Boyz II Men

Sunday mornings carried Mahalia Jackson

On the wind

Back then

Sunday dinners were for gatherings at Big Mama's

For a feast we would eat in togetherness

Afterwards we'd rearrange furniture

For talent shows

And Lord knows

Aunt Bertha couldn't sing

But we enjoyed it all and had a ball

When Unc would crack jokes

That made us weak

We kept Big Mama's full of love each week

Those "Memories, Sweet Memories"

Replay a thousand times

In my mind...

Back, when I Remember When

Hey Winos. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I just wanted to share a little Aretha with y'all to smooth down the edges before a new week greets us at sunrise. There's nothing better than your man holding you up when it feels like the weight of the world is riding you like that nag your grannies used to warn you would come around every once in awhile. This is dedicated to my husband (a secret Wino who just happens to be in the room with me as I'm watching a live 🤣), who rubbed my scalp like Celie did Shug's and chased my dark thoughts away and reminded me that everything always works itself out according to God's plan and timing. There's nothing like a bit of love showing up, just when you need it, so I'm sharing it with all of you. Good night, Winos, and rest well...Until the dawn. 💖

UPDATE 07/13/25: After a recent live comment, my family and I have decided to take the GoFundMe link down from this platform. Please continue to pray for my family during this time and climate. If you feel it in your heart to help, please reach out to me personally. My family and I are willing to give you the number to the NAACP representatives to verify the information. I'm leaving this up as a reminder/warning to protect yourselves at all times and know your rights!! For those that have already responded, my sister and I are deeply grateful and thankful for your help. May God continue to keep and bless everyone. All our love, Born2Speak

***ATTENTION WINOS: MY FAMILY NEEDS YOUR HELP...MISSISSIPPI REALLY IS BURNING 🔥 🔥***

Greetings everyone. My brother-in-law was arrested on 6/25/2025. The problem we're having is the officer turned off his body cam, made my brother-in-law, who is a truck driver, do a field sobriety test which he passed. Apparently, they made him do it a total of three times, three different ways, and they still detained him and took him into the DeSoto adult facility in Hernando, Mississippi. Before being processed, 2 officers had him do a breathalyzer test two times, which he passed. The first time the cop told him there was interference because the 2nd officer had on a radio, and with their TVs going, it was messing up the signal. The 2nd officer left the interrogation room, the breathalyzer test was readministered, and again, my brother-in-law passed. A request was made, at that time, for a physical copy of the passing breathalyzer tests, but the request was denied. When asked, "I passed. Why am I still being detained?" The officer then replied, "That's above my pay grade," and walked away. An hour and a half later, they gave him notice that he was being charged with a felony DUI and they aggressively tried to get him to sign documentation attesting to the felony DUI, which he refused. While still only being detained but not booked, the officers continuously tried to force him to sign the felony DUI documentation, although he'd passed all field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, and tried to intimidate him. On his last refusal, he was then formally arrested and booked into jail to await going before a judge, approximately 7-8 hours after being detained. We are not from Mississippi so we don't know anyone in the area that can assist with this issue. We are hoping that you can help us by recommending a lawyer, or helping us find proper legal representation.

My sister then contacted the NAACP branches for Mississippi, and received a return call from one of their representatives. He explained that they only deal with civil cases, and could not give any legal advice since they charged my brother-in-law with a felony DUI. However, after listening to the full story, he agreed that his civil rights had been violated, and agreed to speak with the Sheriff of Hernando, along with another representative from the NAACP. Both individuals advocated for my brother-in-law on 6/30/2025 around 3:30 pm. They spoke to the Sheriff who stated that his deputies/officers don't wear body cams, although my brother-in-law distinctly saw the one who gave him his field sobriety test turn off a device located on his vest. The NAACP representatives and the Sheriff then reviewed the dash cam video from the police vehicle. It clearly showed my brother-in-law passing 2 field sobriety tests. However, in the state of Mississippi, it is up to the officer on scene to administer a 3rd test where the officer is allowed to give rapid-fire commands, such as, lift your left leg, turn around 360°, bend backwards, touch your toes, etc, in rapid fire succession. My brother-in-law, who is close to 50 years old, tried to explain that he had previously been in a horrible accident, and could not keep up with the demands of the officer, and was placed in handcuffs. I would like to point out that after he passed the 2nd field sobriety test, the other officer on scene was ready to let my brother-in-law go, but the first officer refused. After reviewing the dash cam video, the NAACP representatives left the Sheriff's office and called to tell my sister to retain a lawyer ASAP because they didn't see how anyone could pass the 3rd field sobriety test, that is given at the officer's discretion, even if they were young and completely healthy. The officer purposefully administered that test to make him fail. Also, the NAACP representatives were completely baffled as to why it was written up as a felony DUI when there no other car involved, there wasn't an accident, no one was injured, and my brother-in-law has a clean driving record. Both representatives are of the same opinion that his rights have been violated on a trumped up charge, and needs to be investigated. My brother-in-law is currently out on bail, and they refused to give him any discharge paperwork as he left the jail. We have been trying to get his paperwork since his release on 6/26/2025 and he was finally able to get it 7/1/2025, after the visit from the NAACP to the Sheriff's office. Originally he was told to return to court on August 19, 2025, however, they never told him that he needed to return on July 14, 2025, for a probable cause hearing, which would have revoked his bail, and a bench warrant for his immediate arrest would have been issued. Thankfully, due to the NAACP advocating on his behalf, the probable cause hearing, and the felony DUI case were changed to 9/11/2025 to allow him enough time to get legal representation. Due to the questionable actions of the Sheriff's department, my brother-in-law has lost his job.

I'm calling on my Wino family for any assistance you can offer. If anyone in the Mississippi area is a lawyer, or knows of one who can take on his case on a pro bono basis, or can help on a low-income/sliding pay scale since he has lost his job and is the sole breadwinner for his family. My sister is ill and needs surgery, and they have a teenaged son. He's a hardworking man who would literally help anyone who is in need. I normally wouldn't ask for help, but they're in dire straits with upcoming bills and no income coming in. I'm also thinking of having my sister start a GoFundMe page in case he needs to pay for a lawyer. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Born2 Speak

WINOS... Why did I just see this come across my screen? How much of that 100's of millions did Sean Diddy, Puff Daddy, Puffy, Brotha Love Combs pay for THIS ridiculousness? And are there any alleged tapes the FED'S don't have or know about?👀
