My name is Eva, and I was recently diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer. It all started when I spent two weeks in the hospital, unable to work, and doctors discovered a tumor in my lymphatic area. The news that it was cancer turned my world upside down. Without any paid time off, sick time, or insurance, it’s been incredibly hard to get to the appointments and treatments I need. The stress has been overwhelming, especially as I try to care for my 18-year-old daughter who just went off to college and my younger son who still needs me at home.
Right now, I’m not able to sleep in a bed and have been sleeping in a chair just to relieve the pain. The discomfort and lack of sleep have taken a toll on my mental health, and I’ve been struggling with depression. On top of all this, the financial strain is making things even harder. I’m worried about keeping the lights on, paying for daily expenses, and covering the out-of-pocket costs for my medical care and transportation to appointments.
I’m reaching out for support to help me and my family get through these hard and confusing times. Any help you can give is so greatly appreciated.
