Wino family, it’s Ism Radio… πŸ’œπŸ˜‚

Tasha, girl… I love you down, but READ THE ROOM, GURRLLL. 😭😭😭

If Cheick is an β€œAfrican booty scratcher,” then I’m an FBA booty scratcher too, because I’ll be damned if I’m letting the ass God gave me be itchy or dry. 🀣🀣🀣 Real shit!

But Tasha… the KKK comparison with everything going on with Nolan Wells, the race-baiting ex-cop, and the reported black murders which 1 out of 10 are Foundational Black American killings, since Nolan Wells death, than Mississippi is turning up right nowπŸ₯΄πŸ«£ Girl. OH, LORD. I saw the reel and my spirit said, β€œNope, we’re sitting this one out.” 😭

And Cheick being cool as hell seems thick skinned I’m bout sure didn’t give four damns about that corny stuff. Especially if he been around our FBA upbringing for a long while πŸ˜‚ But YOU know better! That’s why I’m disappointed, because I fuck with you WAY too tough to just drag you without telling you, β€œSis… DO BETTER.” πŸ’œ

I’m not watching that one, Tasha. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ Not because I don’t love you, but because I love you enough to say GIRL, WHAT WERE WE DOING HERE?! 🫣

Tasha, as someone who has supported you from day one, I truly admire your sense of humor, your authenticity, and the good old-fashioned realism you bring to your content. That’s actually why I felt compelled to respectfully share my thoughts on the comments you made regarding FBA (Foundational Black Americans).

I completely understand your instinct to protect your husband and your family dynamic, and I respect that. At the same time, I do feel that comparing the FBA delineation conversation to the KKK was a stretch, and honestly, I think it may have painted a much broader conversation with a brush that doesn’t accurately represent everyone who identifies with the FBA perspective.

There are legitimate reasons why some Foundational Black Americans feel the need to distinguish our lineage, history, and experiences. We have endured generations of exploitation, discrimination, and disrespect, yet we are often expected to continually defend, forgive, educate, turn the other cheek, and extend ourselves to everyone else while our own concerns are minimized. That frustration is real, and I think it deserves to be discussed with some nuance.

Now, the particular individuals you referenced in your post? I can certainly understand why you would have concerns about some of their rhetoric or behavior. But I would encourage you not to let the actions of certain people define an entire perspective or community.

If you're open to it, I would genuinely encourage you to check out IZM’s podcast. I believe hearing that perspective directly could provide some additional context and perhaps help distinguish between legitimate FBA concerns and the more extreme voices that sometimes get the most attention online. I’d even love to see you interview him and have a real conversation about it.

I’m saying this with love and respect, not as a criticism of you. I’ve been rocking with you from day one, and I value your voice enough to respectfully challenge you when I think something may have been characterized too harshly or emotionally. I just hope you’ll consider giving the broader conversation a little more room before making a conclusion that could unintentionally come across as dismissive or misleading.

Much love, Tasha. ❀️ I’m still here, still supporting, and still willing to have the difficult conversations.
