I am Muslim and I can tell you that it is a sin however it does not take a person out the folds of Islam if they are homosexual. Now with that being said he is apart of the Nation of Islam which they are not Muslim simply because they follow the ways and teachings of Elijah Muhammad who was a self proclaimed prophet which is innovation which is forbidden in Islam because it’s not supported by the Quran and Sunnah
