That's awful that that happened to you and you didn't deserve it. I believe you. This is my line of work and it's incredibly common to see abusers, especially male ones, present as "the good one".
You can tell Arron is very genuine. One thing I can't understand: with all their experiences of estrangement, why did he and his wife - and more than once - send their children over to see the grandparents who insisted on being estranged? Were they simply hopeful that the children wouldn't be punished by association?
