When Tasha was talking about the groups that run Hollywood, Winos in the chat asked me to send a link about the North American Man/Boy Love Association—which is NOT to be endorsed! According to the sources below, NAMBLA is considered largely defunct, with little to no organized activity, but remains a symbol of pro-pedophilia advocacy and is an example of fringe extremism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Man/Boy_Love_Association

Personally speaking, I do not think NAMBLA is at all defunct. IMO it's just gone waaaaay underground while also embedding itself in the mainstream culture via Nickelodeon, Disney, and many other prominent entertainment film, television, music, and media companies—but what do I know? Everything over here is allegedly... Even their logo is creepy and might warrant a trigger warning—allegedly. For educational purposes only ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From ChatGpt:
It’s a controversial and widely condemned organization that was founded in the late 1970s. NAMBLA advocates for the abolition of age-of-consent laws and promotes the idea that sexual relationships between adult men and underage boys can be acceptable. Because of this, it has been strongly criticized across the political spectrum and is considered a pro-pedophilia group.

Most mainstream LGBTQ+ organizations have explicitly distanced themselves from NAMBLA. Law enforcement and child protection groups monitor it closely, and it has very little presence today compared to its activity in the 1980s and 1990s.

  • Origins (late 1970s): The group emerged out of a pro-pedophilia faction within the gay rights movement in Boston. In 1978, after a wave of arrests of men involved with underage boys, activists formed the North American Man/Boy Love Association to campaign against age-of-consent laws.

  • 1980s peak: NAMBLA became known nationally during the 1980s, holding conferences and publishing newsletters. It presented itself as part of the broader struggle for sexual freedom, but it quickly alienated mainstream LGBTQ+ groups who rejected any association with it.

  • Public backlash: By the late 1980s and 1990s, NAMBLA was denounced not only by LGBTQ+ organizations but also by women’s rights groups, child protection advocates, and law enforcement. It became notorious as the most visible pro-pedophilia group in the U.S.

  • Decline (1990s–2000s): Under increasing public scrutiny, FBI monitoring, and lawsuits, its membership dwindled. By the early 2000s, most of its public presence was limited to a small website and occasional underground meetings.

Hey Winos!!! A little over a year ago Tasha posted a clip on Instagram of me calling in during one of the first Happy Hours when I mentioned that gossip is in the Bible. Needless to say, we got dragged but I knew we were onto something so I decided to look into where the word “gossip” comes from. As it turns out, gossip is derived from the idea of god-siblings. Over time it evolved to encompass women’s knowledge of childbirth. Later, because of misogyny, gossip began to take on negative connotations about the “idle chatter” of women. That’s pretty messed up, huh? This is all to say that we are not only releasing stress when we gossip, but also justifies why Tasha K can rightfully claim the title of the wine, entertainment, and comedy Godmother. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🤗🤗🤗🤗🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Tasha. It’s your OG Day-1 subscriber over here. I was trying to keep this off front street, but the streaming operators working with me on Gmail been real slow—going on two weeks now. I just renewed my annual subscription for $144 dollars and the app stopped working. I can sign in on the website on my iPhone but that’s  not what I paid for. Please help.

TashaK Live sho’ly did hit my checking account for $144 last week for my annual subscription renewal 💸🤣 I suppose it’s a small price to pay for all the best wine, comedy, and gossip for OG Day-1s like me… Cheers, TAsha !!!🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
