HEY WINOS... WE DID IT! First off, after The Creator, I want to thank ALL of you for the prayers, chants, hymns, and great energy that you sent for my brother-in-law's case. That illegal, Mississippi Burning, Cracker Barrel, trumped up charge was thrown out of court on its "arse" (as my granddaddy used to say) on THIS day! Merci mon Dieu et doux bébé Jésus!

For all of you that donated, my family and I can't thank you enough! Sometimes it takes a community to overcome an injustice, and my Wino Family, you were that for me and mine. Never forget that love, kindness, and joy is the greatest superheroes against hatred, racism and evil that this world can throw at you. And those same superheroes can heal all aches, pains, and sorrows you may feel today, because there's a tomorrow that can hold your greatest blessing.

Hi Wino Family. Yesterday I had to use some alcohol to prepare my arm to insert my Freestyle Libre when something smelled off. Now, I have to explain that I get on my family and friends' nerves because my nose is SUPER sensitive. I looked over at my hubby and said, "This isn't our normal rubbing alcohol. Can't you smell that?" And thrust it under his nose. I got a 'here she goes again' look and a smells the same response. I rubbed my arm again and felt some residue. I don't know about y'all, but I know when there's been a change in something I use because my nose, knows! Anywho, I grabbed my old bottle and started comparing it to the new one I had just opened and flipped it over to the inactive ingredients. My old bottle had just purified water, the new one had me remembering my grandmother saying, "Sound it out, baby." I flipped it back over and saw isopropyl rubbing alcohol on the old bottle...✅️, we good. The new one?... Ethyl. Ethyl? Then it hit me. It smelled just like fingernail polish remover!

I won't go into the research I did because this post is a novella already, and you can do that on your own. Needless to say, they both clean, but my original isopropyl is stronger and evaporates faster without the residuals being left on my skin. So, in future, if I need an alcohol to clean and disinfect my skin, especially since after my upcoming surgery I'll have a permanent opening, I'll be using what the hospitals and my great-grandparents used. Some good old fashioned isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Just be careful and read the bottles when you're buying it if you feel like me. How dare they sell a slightly cheaper and in my mind, inferior product for the same price!! 😤 What I'm thankful for is that my nose hasn't steered me wrong yet... Even if it's sticking itself in business that doesn't pay me! 🤣 I gave you a couple of pictures. Please don't clown me about my pj's. Ok, you can clown me if you can see them, just do it ol' skool, like at the spades table!! 😉 😘 Peace and blessings.

Hey Winos! I love my sister. She created a cartoon 3D version of me and my husband for his B'earthday. The first one depicts where we are now. But because she wanted to make sure I smile and laugh every day, she made the 2nd version and I stated humming "Dontchange" by Musiq Soulchild and HOLLERED!! This was the best gift EVER to celebrate another year with him, and the love we share. To me, this reinforces that creativity supersedes extravagant, over-the-top presents. She charges but because she loves us, I got the "family free" discount...She even automated the 2nd one. It looks even more beautiful in person! I'm recognizing my blessings and getting my Pollyanna smile back! #familylove

Hey Winos. I'm feeling better and I want to thank everyone for the prayers, well wishes and uplifting words of encouragement. However, after Bigo last night, I had to remind myself that women deserve to be treated better than the 5 minutes I saw, so the link below is a beautiful testament of a woman's strength and beauty! I know Tasha can handle herself, and I'm not fragile despite my current circumstances, but old boi was just plain disrespectful on multiple levels. Hi my Wino family. I'm not writing from my desk at Pollyanna World today because for once I am TRULY not feeling like a Pollyanna. Most of you know that I have a dystrophy that is affecting my neck and my ability to swallow. I was originally told that I had multiple vitamin deficiencies and started a regimen of vitamins that Tasha K suggested that greatly helped. But as test results started coming back, and after seeing multiple specialists, my hubby and I got the news that it's either MS (which is better), then we were told it's more than likely ALS. So, I've been waiting to see a specialist within the speciality field of Neurology.

Well, earlier today I found out that after waiting over 6 months for my appointment in November, it was canceled and rescheduled for February 24, 2026. This is the direct result of this administration's interference in providing care for the elderly and disabled. You see, next year there may not be funding for critical care for Medicare/Medicaid and the health professionals in the states surrounding me are waiting to see which way the wind blows before seeing patients. Meanwhile, I'm not getting the care needed to slow down the progression of the damaging effects on my body.

For the 1st time, I cannot find my smile or happy place. Y'all know I try my best to uplift everyone with a kind word, but I can't find it for myself right now. This is me being transparent, stating that depression has hit me like a cave-in without a sliver of daylight. I'll ask for help for anyone other than myself because I feel like there are people who have it worse out here. And I don't believe any platform should be used as a personal diary, but I'm scared because I've gotten so physically weak that it's hard for me to even stand long, let alone walk. Through all of this, I seek and find blessings, so feeling depressed is a foreign concept. So I'm reaching out to my Wino Nation Soldiers to send up well-wishes, thoughts and prayers, not only for my brother-in-law and his battle with his rights being violated, but now, also for me. I can't tell you the last time I have cried for anything dealing with me, but today I'm having a meltdown like Chernobyl. I'm lost. Please pray that the healthcare I so desperately need will be available for the upcoming year. Thank you all. Peace and blessings ~Born

Hey Winos! Today is my husband's B'earthday!!🎂 🥳 Every year I have to think of creative ways to get him to take the day off. This is one of the only things we clash hard about. I'm not big on any other special days except for New Year's Eve (how you ring in the new year is how you'll spend your year), our anniversary, and B'EARTHDAYS!! Why did I have to schedule a doctor's appointment to get him to rest on his special day?😪 😫 Either way, we're enjoying his day in togetherness. After I finish getting my blood work done, I have plans that include having his favorite foods delivered, putting on our mix tape and slow dancing 🕺🏾 💃🏿 (I still have it after all these years converted onto a CD), and showing him how thankful I am for another year with him. Today is a wonderful day!! I'll be part of the #ReplayGang for tonight's live. The story in the link below is a testament as to why our creatives and innovators need to copyright, register, and trademark our products, ideas, and intellectual property. Imagine birthing an idea or product into fruition, only to have it stolen from you, and then, adding insult to an injustice, being told it's illegal to speak about it. Let that sink in for a moment. Now, to put that cherry on top, social media and the news doesn't even report on the story. This is a modern day David and Goliath metaphor in real time. Not to say that other races aren't ingenious, but 1 of our own has been legally raped and I haven't seen our own media platforms speak out enough on it. This is a travesty that can and should be rectified. And for those of you who are in a creative field, don't tell your right hand what your left is doing until AFTER you have your ducks in a row or some unscrupulous person or entity will scoop your idea out from under you.

For those who are writers with limited funding, here are a few tips: 1) Copyright your work in one massive grouping with the US Copyright Office. It comes out cheaper than doing it 1x1. 2) However, if you can't afford to do so at the time of printing, a work around is to create a Word document and email it to yourself and someone you trust before posting it. Once you've created that document, password protect it and NEVER go back into it to make changes. Although legally it may not offer as much protection, it will have a time and date stamp of creation that can support your claim if you need to go to court. This will only work if you have never posted it anywhere before. 3) Record yourself reading your work(s) and password protect it and NEVER go back into it to make changes and email it to yourself and someone you trust. Again, it will not have as much legal standing as having it done officially through the US Copyright Office, but the time stamp and date will go further in court especially if you haven't spoken or posted it previously. After getting your funds together, immediately file it officially with the government. I recommend doing it electronically because it's cheaper, but you can also send it in in paper form with a return receipt that shows when it was received through the US Postal Service, FedEx, etc.

If anyone else knows of ways to protect designs, intellectual property, etc, please add a comment/respond to this post. Our creations are like our children because we birth them through a labor of love process. I don't want another person to have to go through what the woman in this story is facing. I might choose to view the world through the lenses of a Pollyanna, but I'm no fool either. And in order to stay happy and be mentally healthy in my world, peace must reign supreme at ALL TIMES!
